There are two dragons in the Dragonball Z universe, the original Namek dragon
and the less powerful Earth dragon.
Shenron
Created by Kami, the guardian of the Earth, Shenron is the dragon seen and
summoned most often in the series. He differs from Porunga by only being able
to grant one wish, and can bring people back from the dead only once. Later,
Kami fuses with Piccolo making the dragonballs become stones. This is soon
fixed by making Dende, a Namekian friend, the new guardian of the planet. The
new Shenron still can't bring someone to life twice, but can grant two wishes
instead of just one.
